Let’s Make Whoopie! Post Easter Whoopie Pie Sale

Before I announce the delicious flavors for this whoopie pie sale, I must preface this by making an announcement:

This is a guest post by the tasteful, timeless, and stupid (for putting up with me, but smart in things like chemistry) Jared Smith. (I love him!) He will be providing you with the entertaining whoopie details. (and I LOVE HIM!)

Yes folks, as put oh so kindly by the young the Miss Cupcake, I have the first-time-ever privilege of informing you all of the up-and-coming  whoopie pie sale.  However, first, Lauren and I found it essential that we share something wonderful with you…behold the wonders of Easter humor!

No lie, this exact conversation has occurred at least once before between Lauren and I…although under slightly different circumstances.

BUT, now that this lovely image has been shared with you all, I must explain one thing. You may be wondering “What does the Miss Cupcake have to gain by waiting until after Easter to promote an Easter Whoopie Pie sale?”  And that my friends is a very wonderful question…I mean, from a business standpoint, it makes a lot more sense to provide these wonderful creations to you kind folks before Easter, however, because Lauren spent all last week buried in her business plan for some silly competition, she thought it might be better to hold off until this week.  PLUS, I’m sure that you were all already so loaded up with sugar that you couldn’t even fathom filling your stomachs with one more sugary delight.

So, we’re giving you all a few days to let the sugar run its course, so that your stomachs are ready to take on the sweet treats that follow.  This month Lauren is offering:

  • Peanut Butter Cup: (Back by popularity!) This chocolate fudge whoopie pie has a mini Reese’s peanut butter cup baked inside! Half dipped in chocolate and filled with a creamy peanut butter icing, this whoopie is just what you need to avoid those post Easter blues.
  • Coconut Bomb:  This chocolate fudge whoopie shell is rolled in a milk chocolate coating, filled with a creamy vanilla filling and has a coconut cream bomb inside! Lastly, its garnished with angel flake coconut and a blue chocolate twirl.
  • Lemon Blueberry Struesel: Two vanilla blueberry “muffin” tops are topped with a buttery struesel, filled with a fluffy lemon cream filling and topped with a white chocolate swirl.
  • Carrot Cake: This bad boy is pretty self-explanatory.  The shells are made up of a brown sugar topped spice-like carrot cake with a delicious cream-cheese filling. Lastly, this whoopie is garnished with a candy carrot and white chocolate drizzle.
  • Old School Original: This chocolate fudge whoopie pie classic is filled with a creamy vanilla filling.

After reading this list, you may be slightly confused.  There are three never before offered whoopies on this list that will knock your socks off, one of which has never even been tasted by human beings, so y’all will just have to order it and see for yourselves (in case you’re unsure of what I am talking about…it’s the lemony one!)…it sounds real good!

First off, I must say, I have never been a fan of carrot cake.  It was always something that I would try when there were no other desserts available…in other words, my last resort.  To add to that, the semi-bitter taste of cream cheese has never satisfied my taste buds…I mean cheese is for cracker, ham and cheese sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, and much more, who would ever think of whipping up cheese, making it creamy, and adding it to sweet things.  HOWEVER, let me be the first to say WOW…this whoopie changed my world, I bit into that delightful treat and just melted, it.is.amazing.  Enough said!

Just look at it…D to the vine.

Then, there is this flaky looking treat above.  Now, I must preface this all by saying, I do not like coconut…at all.  The flavor and texture of this tropical fruit have never been part of my diet, and I’m no going to lie, that has not changed.  I refused to even sink my teeth into it…despite several temptations, because, I mean, it looks amazing.  What I can say, however, is that I haven’t heard a bad thing about it.  It takes coconut lovers on the ride of their lives… and although I will not be joining you, I am positive that you will not regret your decision

And then there’s the good old fashioned original.  For those feeling less on the wild side, you can get the old time favorite.  This guy has not failed me yet.

Get your orders in asap and enjoy!!
